秋天你需要和寶寶說(shuō)的英文，豐收、樹(shù)葉變色、落葉···

秋天，美國(guó)和加拿大英語(yǔ)用fall，英國(guó)和澳洲英語(yǔ)用autumn，本文采用美式英語(yǔ)。

北半球的秋天在9至11月，南半球的秋天在3至5月。

天文學(xué)中，北半球的秋天指秋分（autumnal equinox）到冬至（winter solstice）的這段時(shí)間。

Fall 秋天

1. Four Seasons 四季

Child: Mommy, it's cold outside, and there are lots of leaves on the ground.

寶寶：媽媽?zhuān)饷婧美浒。厣线€有好多葉子。

Mom: Yes, that's because it's fall now.

媽媽?zhuān)菏堑模驗(yàn)楝F(xiàn)在是秋天了。

Summer is over, and it's almost winter.

夏天過(guò)去了，冬天就要到了。

Do you remember the four seasons? They are spring, summer, fall, and winter.

你還記得四季嗎？它們是春季、夏季、秋季和冬季。

2. Season of Harvest 收獲的季節(jié)

Mom: Fall is the time of year we harvest the crops.

媽媽?zhuān)呵锾焓且荒曛惺斋@莊稼的季節(jié)。

Child: What does harvest mean?

寶寶：收獲是什么意思？

Mom: Harvest means we pick the food from the farmers' fields.

媽媽?zhuān)菏斋@就是把食物從農(nóng)田里摘下來(lái)。

Child: What kind of food?

寶寶：什么樣的食物呢？

Mom: Fruits like apples and pears, and vegetables like squash and pumpkins.

媽媽?zhuān)核裉O(píng)果和梨啊，蔬菜像各種瓜和南瓜啊。

Squash指南瓜屬蔬菜，包括pumpkin-南瓜、zucchini-綠皮密生西葫蘆、winter squash-冬南瓜等。由于pumpkin歷史悠久，且與萬(wàn)圣節(jié)相關(guān)，人們通常把它單獨(dú)拿出來(lái)，與squash并列開(kāi)來(lái)。注意，squash的單復(fù)數(shù)一樣。

3. Leaves Changing Colors 樹(shù)葉變顏色

Child: I really like red leaves. Why do the leaves turn colors?

寶寶：我喜歡紅色的葉子。為什么葉子會(huì)變色呢？

變色：change colors和turn colors兩種說(shuō)法可以互換。

Mom: Because in spring and summer, the red, orange, and yellow colors are covered up by the dominant green.

因?yàn)榇禾旌拖奶斓臅r(shí)候，紅色、橙色和黃色被大量的綠色擋住了。

In fall, as the weather cools and shorter days settle in, the green fades away and reveals the other colors.

到了秋天，天氣變冷，白天變短，綠色褪去，就顯現(xiàn)出了別的顏色。

4. Falling Leaves 落葉

Mom: Then, the leaves fall off the tree.

媽媽?zhuān)喝缓髽?shù)葉就從樹(shù)上掉下來(lái)了。

Child: I like to jump in the leaves!

寶寶：我喜歡在葉子上跳！

Mom: Yes, that's lots of fun. I liked it when I was your age too.

媽媽?zhuān)亨牛貏e好玩。我像你這么大的時(shí)候也喜歡玩。

The street cleaners have to rake the leaves and make big piles to put into bags for the garbage truck to take away.

清潔工需要把葉子耙到一起，堆成堆兒，放進(jìn)垃圾袋里，等待垃圾車(chē)把它們運(yùn)走。

5. Hibernation 冬眠

Mom: Another thing that starts to happen in fall is hibernation.

媽媽?zhuān)毫硗庖患谇锾扉_(kāi)始發(fā)生的事情是冬眠。

Child: What does hibernation mean?

寶寶：冬眠是什么意思？

Mom: Hibernation is when some animals find a nice warm place to sleep through the winter.

媽媽?zhuān)憾呔褪莿?dòng)物找一個(gè)暖和的地方，然后睡過(guò)一個(gè)冬天。
